I'm not sure how much Morrowind yoy played because those swords are not someone's nice idea, they are actually from TES III: Tribunal. In fact, I think this is asctually a port of a mod that changed the original swords in stats or texture or whatever.

  • XeNoN

Trueflame and Hopesfire are accually swords from TES: Morrowind specificaly Tribunal dlc :P

  • MrFatbard

someone needs to make a fog mod

  • Borislav Todorov

These seem like a really cool mod. I have a few comments though: they look simple and shiny because these are swords from Morrowind's Ttibunal, and are key to the story, Trueflame is the sword of Nevevar, and Hopesfire is that of Almalexia, they look true to the Morrowind feel. They are supposed to be not so much battle worn, or types of swords, they are exquisitely one of a kind weapons crafted by the Dwemer for Nerevar and his queen, they should be more Chimer than Dwemer in appearance as they were meant as gifts specifically for Nerevar and Almalexia and conform to their tastes and tradition. They have a fire and respectively electricity "enchantment", which as you play the game it turns out are more technological rather than true magical effects as is all of the "Dwemer dark magic". They are, at least Trueflame is, the most powerful sword in Morrowind, stronger than any Daedric or whatever other artifact. Trueflame works by having a mechanism which ejects burning turpentine along the blade, which works in addition to the blade quality and base damage of the sword.

  • revan21

If somebody could now add the textures and meshes from the Dwemeri Gifts mod for Morrowind to the mod it would be even greater

  • BiG CheEtO

Wow.... He does not even know what Trueflame or Hopesfire is.... So I am guessing he has never played Morrowind....

  • rgbequilibrium

If you like those effects on enchanted weapons you should really try out this mod www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/41875/

  • Pair of Noia

I'm sure I'm late to the party on this one...but of course Trueflame and Hopesfire aren't out of the Elder Scrolls universe...they CAME from the Elder Scrolls universe. Both swords existed as rewards in Morrowind, in the Tribunal expansion.

  • Merazim

Anyone who knows WHERE in Solitude you'll the Fletcher' Shop? I can't find it and I'm starting to worry about if it's incompatible with Open Cities. If it isn't, what's the ID for the arrows?

  • Gaba Joe

That trueflame should burn only on the blade not the handle.

  • Peter Uhlenberg

I am freaking out right now... He's never played tribunal...

  • AssEater75

You should do a how to make a mod series for beginners like me

  • Homage Cat

"it looks like there fresh of the forge and polished for display." how funny...thats the only thing i use them for...i have them both in display cases.

  • Azzy

Lol blue on one side and red on the other? You sure bout that Gopher?

  • christian hugo

Gopher sound like a skyturd. Like someone who never player tes3 goty omg.."they fit in the lore".....THEY ARE IN THE LORE!!!!!

  • Adam Wiley

Lol the reason true flame and hopes fire doesn't look out of place in TES is because they're weapons you can obtain in TES 3 morrowind

  • Mr Foehnn

"They fit in the Elder scrolls lore"THEY.WERE.IN.FREAKING.MORROWIND

  • shoopdawoop32

"They're not out of place in the Elder Scrolls world"Maybe because they're FROM the Elder Scrolls world?

  • ArmoryTK

I have an awesome idea for an almost impossible mod, i cant imagine what it would take to do in a game like Skyrim.Destructible Building, for example, you could use up a staff of flames on a building, then the fire will spread across the building and it will destroy the building, maybe the instead of trying to script something maybe something along the lines of at a certain point of consumption it will change models all the way untill all that remains is the 100% destroyed building model, i wouldnt mind burning down villages, ah well, i dont think it will ever happen, its a good idea though :D

  • Expect2Die

    are you colorblind gopher?

  • Caleb Bass

It's the green arrow effect, it makes you need an different arrow for every occasion.

  • Alucard45000

Blue glow and a "red" glow D:

  • DemonMankeyMan

I realise that this is quite old now but was Enchanted arsenal out at the time? That can provide the blazing effect on enchanted weaponry.

  • Ketameme Productions

    these mods are lit ;o

  • Alfons Hotler

    "See Enchs" - Mod

  • Zarden

at 9:37 how did that barrel get soul trapped?

  • 7Tokken

it a great wep for night or cave exploring. the true flame swords is a killer wep and lantern in one now. sick!

  • OMFGWTFBBQSAUCEHAX

The arrow sound effect sounds good, what mod is it?

  • Wolfsbaine101

Trueflame and Hopesfire are some of my all time favorite weapons in gaming

  • adam wickens

i wouldn't want all of the swords to have the flame effect, but "Red Eagles Fury" needs to have it.

  • Justin Owens

I love the fire arrows. They're great for dungeon crawling, as I have a mod that makes almost every dungeon pitch black. So it's great for just firing down a long hallway and paying attention to what's lit up as it flies

  • Super Kaioken

Gopher your the BEST i LOVE  your vids

  • The Armored Idiot

Take a shot whenever he says ",magical during the Hopesfire review.

  • Lonewolf0711

I think the shiny blade really works for the fiery version of trueflame as the flames would burn the blood and dirt off

  • Merazim

Anyone who knows WHERE in Solitude you'll the Fletcher' Shop? I can't find it and I'm starting to worry about if it's incompatible with Open Cities. If it isn't, what's the ID for the arrows?

  • theGamer

I think u will like the enchanted arsenal mod :)

  • Uirisu1

Trueflame & Hopesfire are nice swords. They were swords in Morrowind.

  • cc

Gopher, you should check out Sneak Tools.  It adds a variety of immersive arrows similar to what's present in the Thief series of games.  It adds fire & water arrows (and bolts) that go one step further than the ones featured in this video: if fired at an unlit torch, lantern, brazier, or campfire, the fire arrows will light them, and likewise the water arrows will douse existing light sources.  It also adds rope arrows you can shoot into ceilings or walls to scale them, noisemaker arrows to distract enemies, and oil arrows that splash patches of oil on the ground, which you can use to set up traps and set them alight with fire arrows or magic.

  • June Hollybell

their from morrowind! amelixa owned hopes fire and truflame belonged to the nervaverine or how ever its spelled

  • F-Com
